I just finished writing out my study guide for finals and than a friend came over to use the computer befor i had a chance to save the word document. Now I need that document but it is nowhere to be found. i need major help!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Ask in a Word newsgroup this one is for Outlook.
Anyway; check the location where you store your autosaves.

This happens to me all the time, relax :)

anyhow what you want to do is to a file search. Start-->Search-->choose
"For Files or Folders."

On th "Search For Files or Folders Named" box type in *.doc
Click "Search Options" Check "Date" checkbox, in the dropdown menu directly
under it, choose "File Created." If the file was created within
days...choose the "In the last [blank] day" option . . .similarly if the
file was created within months . . .choose the "In the last [blank] month"
option.

After filling all this up, press "Search Now" button or ALT S.
You file, if it hasn't been permanently deleted, should come up after this.
