A
Aaron
ASP.NET web form application.
I am currently binding a datatext field to a dropdown list with the
following code:
Sub FillFilterLists(ByVal ApplicantActivityDataset As DataSet)
ApplicantActivityFilterPanel.ddAppActivityCompanyFilter.DataSource =
ApplicantActivityDataset
ApplicantActivityFilterPanel.ddAppActivityCompanyFilter.DataTextField =
"Company"
ApplicantActivityFilterPanel.ddAppActivityCompanyFilter.DataBind()
End Sub
This is working fine for simply populating the control. Currently my
dataset has redundant data. (I'd like to stay away from a data
normalization conversation for right now). I am filling the dataset in an
earlier routine, and I cannot issue a "select distinct" at the SQL level.
Is there anyway I can perform an equivilent function in .NET before the
dropdown list is bound?
Thanks,
Aaron
