Hi Lennart,

What's the problem you encountered? Windows XP can use files which are
larger than 4GB without any problem. I have a file with 10GB in size on my
hard disk and it can be used without any problem. I look forward to hearing
from you.

Hi Lennart,

What's the error message? Could you show me a screen shot? You can send the
screen shot to me at (e-mail address removed) for investigation. It appears
that you are using a third-party DVD burner to write a 4GB file to the DVD.
Is this correct? What's the utility you use and have you checked its
manufacture's Web site to see if this issue is addressed? Also, have you
applied Windows XP SP1a onto this computer?

Please let me know the information for troubleshooting so we can work on
this issue efficiently. I look forward to hearing from you.

Greetings --

What file system are you using on the partition in question? The
FAT32 file system cannot handle files larger than 4 Gb, while the NTFS
file system can.

Hi Lennart,

It appears that this is a program exception of the Imgtools utility you
use. This is a design flaw on this application so it does not support 4GB
file well. It may have used a new feature only available in Windows 2000
SP4 so it can work with Windows 2000 SP4. For the other systems, it cannot
run properly.

At this time, the conclusion is that there was some problem on this
application. I would recommend you contact its manufacturer to work on this
issue to see if it supports 4GB size files on the other systems.

Please also verify whether this application is designed for Windows 2000/XP
and whether it has a certified logo or not. To see the list of the
applications designed for Windows 2000/XP, please refer to
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/catalog/. We cannot guarantee if the
application not listed can work with this operating system properly.

In this case, please contact the manufacturer to see if there is a
resolution. If you need any assistance in Windows system, please let me
know.
