Hello everybody, the reason i'm writing is because i need
help with my computer. I have a year with my computer and
never did an account on my computer. so evertime i
started my computer it would go in straight in to
windows. Now yesterday i decided that i wanted to make
diffrent accounts when i did the accounts and i logged in
i notice that all my saved work was gone. i can't find
it. i know its in the computer cuz of the disk space is
the same. Then i decided to delete the acounts to see if
everthing would come back and it didn't. Can anybody help
me and tell me how can i get my files back???
Your help is appreciated thanks

Even though you didn't create an account, there had to be some account even
if you weren't logging in. The files should be under a user ID under
Documents and Settings in Windows Explorer. If you can't find them, try
doing a search in explorer for "doc." At least some of your files should be
in that format and the search should bring up some of your files and that
will give you an idea of where they are.

Now, becuase you created new accounts and deleted some accounts, you may not
have access to the files in whatever account into which you are booting and
trust me, you're booting into some account even if you don't need to log on.

Once you find the files, you need to place them in your account, use the
following Knowledge Base Article for help with this:

Once you are able to move the into whatever account you are using, you will
probably need to take ownership of the files in order to access them. Check
the following Knowledge Base Article:

Of course, all of this would be a lot simpler if you had a backup of your
files. Please note the third line in my signature.
