Afriend of mine decided to put their huge car speaker (kicker box
size)
right next to the computer and now his computer will not boot up,
heres what i was able to assess so far.

the video card does not work and i tried another one and still no
output and the monitor doesnt show an indication that it works like
go from yellow to green in power light.

I didnt here anything from the hard drive as far as spinning goes

the keyboard and mouse show no signs of life.

the fans on the processor work.

the cd rom pops out when you open it.

other than that I cant ever trouble shoot without any output or input

any ideas, I am thinking maybe motherboard is history but other parts
I wouldnt know unless i tried in another system.

Likely a coincidence.

Best to check that by feel some are quite quiet.

Can be a bad power supply too. Thats cheaper to try than a motherboard.

Probably caused some solder joint failures. Good luck finding
those. I had a similar problem when I put a table fan on top of a TV
one hot summer. Luckily my bad solder joint was the red drive
transistor. Easy to spot and fix.

try different hard drive, power supply. You've already eliminated the vid
card.
