Hi,
I'm having a problem all of a sudden when I try to publish my sites
http://ephemera9.tripod.com
http://pleasantville-for.us/

When I try to publish both site say there is a fp extension problem and
won't publish.
The Pleasantville site actually seems to start downloading then pops up with
the fp extension warning
that they aren't installed. The strange thing is I know they are. I've went
in and reinstalled them on both sites and on the Pleasantville site I even
had the admin check them.
Could my FP program glitched out? I kinda think it is a problem with the
software, but not sure if I should reinstall it.
Is there some setting I'm missing that might have changed? I checked and
they don't look any different than they ever did.
If one would publish and the other wouldn't, I could see it might be a
remote server problem, but when they both don't, well, I'm perplexed!
Any help would be appreciated, as usual!
Tim

In FP Remote web site properties are you using
http://www.pleasantville-for.us/ (not http://pleasantville-for.us/)
and http://www.ephemera9.tripod.com (not http://ephemera9.tripod.com)

And you can test the FP SE by trying to open your remote sites in FP
(again using the www in the URL)
If you open each remote site in FP 2003, you can reverse publish
(your remote site would be your PC based site)

I am able to open it in fp without using www
If you open each remote site in FP 2003, you can reverse publish

Reverse publishing would do me no good since I created the site on my pc.

Thanks for the advice though!

And?
Reverse publishing means opening the online "empty" site in FP and publishing from the remote (your PC FP site) to the empty local
(online site)

Reverse publishing is *exactly* what you want.

When you open the live (server) site in FrontPage, it becomes the
Local site, the Remote site will be the copy on your PC. So you need
to reverse publish - Remote (=PC) to Local(=Server)

In FrontPage 2003, the Local site is *always* the site that is opened
using
File->Open Site, the Remote site is *always* the other one, no matter
where they are physically located.

Gotcha, I see what Stefan was saying.
I just got it fixed. Turns out the fp extensions were messed up on the host
server of Pleasantville's.
They reinstalled them on the server and now it publishes. The site is
digitalbreak.com. It's actually a great host site, and realllllly
inexpensive. Worth checking out.
As for the tripod site, well, tripod is tripod. It worked this morning for
whatever reason!
Thanks you guys for helping!!!
