Neal

I just purchased this game for use on my HP notebook. The game installs fine
but when I try to start it the starting screen comes up for about 2 seconds and
then goes away. The game is in the taskbar but when I click on it, the same
opening and closing takes place. I checked the DirectX and all tests out fine.
I also tried slowing down the graphic acceleration with no results. I then
loaded the game on my desktop system and it runs perfectly. Does this game just
not like notebooks?

Thanks
Neal

Hi Neal,

Perhaps the laptop doesn't meet the specifications of the game.
Compare the Video card stats in the Display tab of dxdiag to
the game's requirements. Remember that video memory on
most laptops is borrowed from the system memory.

I finally figured it out after trying every setting for the display. I had to
disable write combining whatever that is. The program works fine now.
Thanks
Neal
