Must be TAB's influence......
I wonder what they mean by "an emulator"?
I've not a clue where the "50-cents per linux user" comes from.

God that's funny!!
Wait until the parents find out the school is switching to Linux.
I can hear it now:
"Why isn't my child learning MSOffice? "
"What good is a computer that nobody else on earth is using"?
"How come I can't find Magic School Bus, SAT Prep or any other
educational software for Linux at CompUSA?"
And to make matters worse, these people (the school board) sound
completely incompetent!!!
Emulator?
Every good Linux soldier knows that Wine is NOT an emulator!!!!!
Watching this one progress, if it even gets off the ground, is going
to be funnier than watching Munich Germany flumox their Linux
migration from months to years.
What a clusterfsck that one is!!
FWIW I'm writing a letter to the school board informing them that they
are commiting educational suicide by installing Linux on the students
desktops.
If they want Linux on their servers that is one thing, but on the
desktop?
Forget it!
These poor kids will graduate school with computer skills on an
operating system that virtually nobody is using!
It's like studying to be a blacksmith so you can shod horses.
Real useful occupation these days.
NOT!
