Microsoft's Beta version 1
I suppose it's pretty good for a trial version but I have
discovered a few bugs with it.
#1 suspected spyware report doesn't seem to work well
with dial up settings. Error message appears saying
proxy settings are wrong....There are no proxy settings
for dialup.
#2 wondering if this version scans all files....my
antivirus scans over 80,000 files spyware only scans
40,000 files plus registry keys
#3 I'm wondering why my dialup connection window appears
on my computer late at night......Is some spyware
attempting to connect with the internet.
Can anybody shed some light here??

Yes--#1 is a bug, and I don't have a workaround.
#2 - it seems to scan enough files to do the job better than the competition
according to a number of independent reviewers.
#3 could be spyware, or a virus or trojan, or any number of normal
processes. One way to diagnose this is to add a third-party software
firewall to the machine which will name the process attempting to connect
out (and prompting the dialup.)
