Is this movie maker 2.1 a BETA program? I see nothing refering to it as
Beta on Microsoft, But sure looks like it is !

Trying to make a narrated slideshow.

Downloaded and install every kinds of Codec I can find But still it
Never Finishes the Save to the hard drive.. the time left just keeps
climbing.

I just went thru 10 hours of waiting and tried a preview of the partial
saved file and the pictures were BACKWARDS,( As if Viewing them in a
Mirror ) With Some UPSIDE DOWN !!! ( I guess I cud Turn the TV upside
Down to watch my movie if Movie maker wud ever finish processing it.)

How Do I Reinstall windows movie maker 2.1 ? or is there a PATCH to
LIMIT the amount of CPU usage that MM uses?

Amd 2600 XP ( 2.12 ghz)
1 Gig Memory.

70 gig Hard disk space FREE. ( Been defragged)
64 meg video card

To start, make sure pictures are converted from .jpeg
to .bmp, if you have any. Your symptoms seem typical of
what I've read on this board with users trying to render
with JPEGs.

Hope it helps.

I meant .jpg, sorry. Still guessing that is your issue.
Might be a ton of work if you have a lot of pics, but
most of the pros usually tell others to convert to .bmp.

Another 4 hours shot..

in the Last 1/4 of my Slideshow Most of The pictures Are UPSIDE DOWN
and MIRRORED BACKWARD. I did AVI Format this time.

( Windows media player As well as REAL PLAYER produce the Same DEFECTS. )

There is nothing Wrong with the pictures.. They Play Fine on a ROXIO
PHOTO RELAY CD..
PhotoRELAY will not Do DVD THO

Time To Scrap Windows Movie Maker and Go To DVDSANTA, But DVDSANTA will
not let me inport Audio to attach to the JPG's I must Make New audio
with DVDSANTA's RECORDER for EACH picture Naration !!

tHank you all for the Help, But I am Through with Trying Microsofts
Movie Maker Program.. I will Keep watching Tho For an UPDATE from
Microsoft that May Repair The Glitaches..

PS

I AM not just using ONE COMPUTER for this project,, I am working with
TWO different computers and Get The Same Results from Both of Them..
Different Hardware on EACH !!
I need a Break anyways.. it is Starting to Get Warm outside Here in
Burton. Mi

Whenever I've seen problems with videos or images being upside down they've
been due to a third party Direct Show filter interfering with MovieMaker.
Check out the compatibility tab for details on how to turn these off in
MovieMaker, my blog entry
http://blogs.msdn.com/deanro/archive/2004/08/22/218501.aspx gives further
details on how this works.

Most decent photo editing apps have an automate feature, so you set it to
convert all to bitmap and wait for it to finish.

Thanks But No Thanks. I know How to do that since I use PAINTSHOP PRO !!.

I Have a Family Tree Structure On my Hard drive..
I AM NOT going to Change all the Documents, ( Death Certificates,
Immagration papers to a Format That ISNOT STANDARD !
..

I did another try today, Remove all Codecs and Started the Save to AVI
at 10.05 am And it finished at 5:15 pm and Now the last thirs id Upside
down, mirror images, Some Slides are BLACK ( Nothing , But audio is There ,,

7 hours???

Nothing running But MOVIE MAKER , I didnot try any programs while it was
running,,

Please yourself, but if you knew how to do it then you'd know you can just
pick the pictures you wanted to do it to, you could make a copy of all the
ones you want to do it to, you can save them as Bitmaps and still retain all
your original files, you could save the Bitmaps in one folder just for Movie
Maker to access.

Why is Bitmap not a standard format?

Still, you prefer to mess around, keep going.

Bye.
