beta test of microsoft spyware caused vet antivirus
software to not run, also caused problem with my network -
actually disabled my network connection (winsock problems
I believe).

I have disabled the microsoft spyware and vet and my
network are running fine.

any suggestions?

You should have antivirus protection.

What steps did you take to fix the network connection?

Could you consider posting the "cleaner.log" file from the directory the
Microsoft Antispyware program is installed in? Check it out to be sure
there's nothing in it you don't want public--but it'd be good to know what
was removed that blew you out of the water.

I'd suggest resetting the winsock LSP stack via the method I posted in the
thread adjacent to this one, but if it is working already.......

What's with VET--why not re-enable it?
