Can someone clear up a question for me please. Does
Outlook 2003 still include the "Outlook Bar" as an option?

Arrrrrrgggggghhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How can this be???!!!!!

It is one of the most useful customisation features of
Outlook!!!!!!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE put it back!!!!!!!

I have learned to make Outlook so fast & easy to use by
customising the Outlook Bar. Its easy to do ad-hoc moves
of messages. Its easy to see if there is new mail in
Public Folders. Because they are shortcuts they can have
different names to the real folder name.

I can't believe they have removed this cool feature!
Please tell me there is a new feature that does all this
AND MORE!

Pissed off non-upgrader! :(

The Outlook Bar has been replaced with the Navigation Pane. The Navigation
Pane allows you to do a number of the same things that the Outlook Bar did,
however you'll need to spend some time learning how to use all it's
features. There's a favorite folders list where you can put frequently used
folders. There's a shortcuts pane that you can use for windows files or
Outlook folders. The new views of the Navigation Pane allow you to switch
between Mail folders, Task Folders, Calendar Folders, Contacts Folders, etc
easily.

It does take a little getting used to, but I personally think it's much
better than the Outlook bar.

Too bad the Shortcuts pane won't allow you to browse the File System.
This makes the very idea of a Shortcuts pane kinda useless.

you can add shortcuts to it - open windows explorer and drag to shortcuts.
I just found out you can drag shortcuts from the desktop to the
Shortcuts pane.
