When you say 'refreshed 1.0.614 release' do you mean

1- a corrected version of the 614 release (with the reported
problems of 5729 repeated downloads)?

or

2- refreshed in the sense that the expiry date has been refreshed,
but still buggy .614 ?

thanks for the clarification

Someone who is still hanging on to version .509

I mean refreshed revision of Beta 1 from 1.0.509 to 1.0.614. Besides
1.0.509 is not less buggy than 1.0.614.

Well, some challengies we can see within 614

- Scheduling------------ use your daily planner/reminder and start
MSAS manual (just before lunch)
and beacuse of real time protection a user do NOT need to scan so
often, maybe once a week.......... :')
All US users must be really fixed in this scheduling for different
scans ;)

- Track Eraser, use CCleaner instead :D

- Manual def update. :'(

But MSAS rocks, its great

So your advice to the beta testing community is to stop
testing?

No, actually I like MS Antispyware. My advice to
the beta community is to *keep* testing.

However, upgrading to a version with known
'challenges' (which were not there in an earlier version)
sounds like misplaced loyalty to me.

Yes, they are. But now we have your "bypass" ;-) with manual signature
download :-)
And at least flying toasts do not fly anymore :-D

The known issues in 614 are these, as far as I can tell:

1) definition update issues. These appear to be server end issues, and
should now be resolved. In any case, not all users see this issue--it is
not an issue seen by every install of the build.

2) Scan time issues. If your local uses a 24 hour clock, setting the scan
time in the afternoon doesn't work. Choosing a locale with a 12 hour clock,
or manually setting your clock format to a 12 hour setting works around
this.
