The AntiSpyware keeps sayiong that it has expired on 31.12.2005, but it's
only 25.06.2005. What a piece of junk...

What's the junk? Your not reading the Regionalization settings perhaps?
Bring those settings around and un expire yourself.

You are running with non-standard long and/or short date format settings in
the locale.

Reset the drop-down boxes to the topmost choice (long date format,. short
date format) and you should be fine.

Thank you, but is it the right solution - change the date format to whatever
we use, or else...
There are other anti-spyware programs - not to say "all the others" - which
WORK and do not force me to change the date format, lose some kilos and
change my surname to John...
BTW, what are you doing - reading the date as string???

I never changed the defaults for the locale (Bulgarian). That is - the
topmost choices are set. Still cannot run...

If you can't make it work, I'd say the beta isn't usable in your locale.
I'm surprised--I can't believe we don't have other Bulgarian users. The
beta is officially English only, and the code is largely from the
third-party product that Microsoft purchased. This code wasn't designed
with localization in mind.

Beta2 will be.

I concur (but not with the 'junk' predicate). I've set the format from my
usual 'dd-MM-YYYY ddd' which I consider indispensible in File Explorer to
dd-MM-YYYY in order to run the program, but I'm not prepared to keep it
that way.
The program should be able to cope with stuff like that. It's not an
illegal setting or anything.

X.

Of course the program should be able to cope with any valid combination of
Windows settings. I would expect beta2 to do so. For now. however, we'll
need to live with the limitations of the current inherited code.
