Matt

G'day,

I paid to get the Beta 2 CPR sent to me on DVD a few months ago.

Will I have to pay to get the CR1 DVD sent to me, or will Microsoft send it
to me for free automatically?

Cheers

Matt

You paid for both already when you paid for Beta2.

Should come free to you by mail in the next weeks.

Woo hoo! Thanks!

What version of Vista is actually on the DVDs? As in Home, Ultimate etc?

Cheers

All of them. The key unlocks the version that will be installed.
Your key will be an Ultimate key.

Yes.

It is true. The DVD contains ALL Vistas ever available in Shops.

Starter( the "3rd World Windows" ) /HomeBasic ( No Aero - Windows )
/HomePremium/Business/Ultimate/Home "N" ( for Europe without
MediaCapabilites = the "crippled" Windows ) etc ..

And you can try all the other versions to for 14 days if you like to.

Just skip the entering of the Key and press "next" - you will then be able
to select from all the editions.

But as MICHAEL wrote : the Key is only good for activating the ULTIMATE.

All other need their own Key after 14 days of use, which at this moment are
not available to public users.

But you can also have differnt Vistas on one PC if each one of them has its
own Partiton. That's how I do it to figure out which version fits my needs.
( at this point I like Home-Premium most and think that will be what I buy )

The Windows Vista Websie has me confused it says the CPP participants should
get an email when the RC1 is ready for them and the wording on it makes me
think the email was already sent out and for some reason I didn't get it and
yes I've checked my bulk/spam folders every day and no email was sent. Has
anyone on the CPP gotten theirs yet? IF so do you still have the link?

Here's your Link to the ProductKey and the email-notification:

( you need to register once for MS_Passport with a valid mail / needs no
msn or hotmail-adress, any will do)

http://www.laboratoire-microsoft.org/n/22215/ write your personal Key down
and don't share it !

It is good for genuine activation on ten different machines.

Vista timebombs on June1st, 2007 and will then not work anymore = Go and buy
it.
