The new interface looks good. I have really enjoyed using this beta product
and i hope to make some suggestions to help the product before it goes main
stream.
1. I think you need to bring back the systray icon. This is a visual that
the product is running and not accidently turned off.
2. Updates: I work in a corporate environment and we have Beta 2 loaded on
some travel laptops for testing. In our environment we have a WSUS Server
and are allowing patching from it for the Defender Beta 2. The problem is
that some of these laptops are not on the corporate network for long periods
of time maybe even a month or so. Users traveling mainly use Exchange with
RPC over HTTP and therefore do not really require vpn connectivity. With out
vpn the machine fail to connect to the WSUS server for updated def. It would
be nice to add a backup if a WSUS server is present for the computer to allow
Defender to check with the WSUS server first and then fall back to MS website
to allow contiuous updates while not on the network.
Thanks,
Jason.
