Best XP App to view Attachments?

What is the best Windows XP application to use for viewing attachments
in Eudora and Agent? How can I then make the desired viewer the
default?

While not an XP app try downloading irfanview from irfanview.com. It is a
free graphic viewer application that will let you view just about any type
of graphic file, best of all it's free.
 
Doesn't it depend upon what the attachment is???

Some, for a lot of people, MANY, attachments may be .exe files, which are
executables. There are others also. These are not viewed at all, but are run
as programs (or as the case may be, a Trojan if you are not careful)!
