Moving up from a aiw 9000 pro to aiw 9800pro. I was wondering the best way to
do this. Should I unistall everything and the shut down and install new card? I
appreiciate your help.

well, if you want to really make sure no odd keys are left then yes you
should at least uninstall the CP and then Drivers. If really want to be safe
can use ATI's removal program but beware it will also go after any demo's
from ATI you might have. Anyway best thing I find is at very least do the
CP/then Drivers but before it reboots go to the ATI directory and delete the
support folders (you of course need to make sure you have dl the latest
driver set so its handy on reboot) and then I do a search for *.inf and have
it look for containing txt "ATI". and move them to a folder on another drive
so that when you reboot it doesnt try to use an older inf file. Some ppl
just delete the inf's but I always worry might delete an inf thats needed so
moving to another folder just gets it out of XP's site.

Anyway after all that shut down. Remove/rplace card reboot and run the
newest driver pack. Or you can do like me and because of new card I bought
lots of other new goodies like a new MB so Im just gonna do a nice fresh
install with my XT

Hope it helps

If you are already running ATI Catalyst drivers, just shut down, swap the
cards. You may have to run the catalyst install again, but they will use the
same drivers.
