Hi,
I need to test large quantities of 68 pin and 80 pin SCSI hard drives
and SAS hard drives to determine if they are not defective.
What would be the best way (economically and efficiently) to test
these drives?
Background:
I currently have 3 boxes running Windows XP with a SCSI and/or SAS
controller card installed.
I use Seatools Enterprise to run tests on the drives and I have to
reboot the PC before I attach the next hard drive.
I would also like to start wiping the drives in the future using a DOD
format.
Someone recommended getting a used server so I can test multiple
drives at once with better integrity. Another recommended getting
JBODs (Just a Bunch of Drives) and connect a controller card to the
JBOD.
I'm not sure if screwing the hard drives to each tray or carrier and
then testing them would be faster than the current process.
Any suggestions out there? Thanks for reading and for your help.
