I was trying to find Video files in Vista, MPEG, AVI... but I was not able to
find the option for video files under search like Windows XP has as an
option. The only option I had was Email, Doc, pictures and Music but no
Video option.

Thanks

How to search for video files in Windows Vista:

1. Click on Start.
2. In the Start Search field, type "kind:videos" (without the quotations).

Your video files will be displayed in the search results as long as they
have been indexed. If you store your video files on an external drive, you
may need to add it to the search scope:

1. Click on Start, and then click on Control Panel.
2. Click on System and Maintenance and then click on Indexing Options.
3. Click on "Modify".
4. Click on "Show all locations". If user account control prompts for
consent, provide the appropriate credentials or click on continue.
5. Under "change selected locations", place a checkmark next to your
external hard drives or other folders where your video files are located, and
then press OK.

It may take a little while for the Windows Search indexer to index your
video files after addng their location to the index.

Hope this helps, have a great day,
