I am curious what the best method for refreshing data on forms is in Access
2007. I have 1 main form used to collect customer information. There is a
button on this form to enter payments received. When the user clicks this
button, a new form opens up on top of the customer information screen which
allows the user to enter payments. When the user closes the payment form,
the program puts him back at the customer information which hasn't changed
(it remains in the same state 'underneath' the payment window). If the user
pushes 'F5' to refresh, the form looses the filter used to find the specific
customer that was being worked on. I've tried several methods - refresh,
requery, recalc in different spots (on got focus, on current and in various
objects on the form) but nothing seems to refresh the form correctly.
Currently, we are closing the form, locating the customer again and opening
it. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance for your help!
