Hello,

I work for a company that is in the medical environment. We want to allow
the doctor's internet access to all website and only allow downloading of
files from two specific websites. The rest need to be blocked. Also, I
need to mention that they are not attaching to a domain and no proxy server
will be used and they are xp machines logging into the local workstation.

Thanks,

Debbie

Debbie,

I am not sure how you would accomplish something so specific without some
sort of proxy server or web filtering software. If you are a small medical
proctice, and have Cable or DSL internet access, maybe you have a firewall
device as well (hopefully!). If so, you might want to check with the firewall
manufactureer - they may have an option that can help you acheive this. I
have setup various SOHOs with a small firewall from WatchGuard
(www.watchguard.com), and I know they offer a web filter plugin. There are
also appliances that can do this for you... check out www.stbernard.com. They
have a pretty good product there, but it might be overkill for you - I dont
know.
