I don't need the data only pictures of either excel charts or numbers. Should
I copy paste special as a picture or bitmap or should I copy paste then
ungroup and imediatly regroup. Which takes up the least amount of space in my
presentation. Please help.
Thanks

It may depend on what you're pasting.

PROBABLY Paste/Special Link as Excel object then ungroup/regroup.

But it's all there on your computer.
Try it both ways in two different files.
Which is smaller?

There's your answer.

Thanks, I did some testing paste spec. as a bitmap seems to be the largest
file smallest is paste spec. as a picture. If I bring in charts they hold
their color as paste spec. picture, but plain data comes in black no matter
what color my headings are. I have to bring in as a link or paste and ungroup
then group. Will I mess up my data by doing this?

There won't be any data in the PPT file ... but there wouldn't be with the paste
as picture either.

But none of these methods will do anything to harm or alter the data in your
original Excel file.
