Sapphire Radeon X1900GT 256MB DDR3 PCI-Ex16 Graphics Card - Dual DVI,
HDTV, Video-In, Video-Out, Crossfire support $205.84
Looking at the charts on toms hardware, AGP cards and any card in the ati
9000 series(and lower) and nvidias 5000 series(and lower) have only 33% of
the power that modern pci-Express cards have. Even ATI's X1600 series isn't
even worth looking at as they are just as slow. The best video card out
right now thats worth its money for anyone's budget is the one mentioned
above. Nvidia has similar cards in performance but they are more expensive
and the graphics still arn't upto ATI's standard.
I've also noticed that all the new motherboards that came out supporting AM2
and Core 2 Duo have only PCI-Ex1 slots instead of PCI-Ex4 slots. I wonder if
there is just as much problems with PCI-Ex4 slots as -Ex1
