I'm kicking around the idea of living in an RV for
awhile.

Any thoughts on best printer for such a lifestyle?

All in one?

Inkjet I'm sure, right?

Anything else?

Depends on how much space you have. and what paper storage options are
required.
All in one?

Do you need a scanner on the road?

How much printing do you expect to do? Do you actually need a scanner?

I'd suggest looking at an HP DeskJet 460 and the Canon ip90 if you just
needing printing. I think the ip90 is a slightly better printer than the 460,
but its cost per page is higher and cartridge availability is not as good
(relatively speaking... Amazon.Com will ship you ip90 catridges overnight or
whatever, but with the HP 460 uses the same cartridges as many other common HP
printers are you'll liable to find them at any Wal*Mart). Both are quite
competent performers overall.

Unsure

Limited amounts of printing. Maybe a todo list per day?

On the scanner.... not even sure I need one. But if I
did would you get an all in one or standalone unit?

Again..... for RV living

Just curious what you feel

Suggest you visit a Staples and / or similar.
Look at various devices. Note sizes etc. See what's on sale. Get a cheap
one.
If you are a Costco member consider getting something there since their
return policy is great.

Yep I am a Costco member and agree

That's great cause you can easily return at a different location.
Also, if you have a digital camera you can get prints by uploading to
Costco.com and specifying a local location.

I'd get one of the ultra-slim standalones from, e.g., Canon. I think it's a
safe statement that one of those plus an ip90 or DJ460 is still considerably
smaller than the smallest multi-function unit out there.

That's what I was kinda thinking as well but needed
confirmation
