Hi all,

My new job requires me to become a much more advanced user of MS Access than
I currently am. However, I will be teaching myself and on that basis I am
shopping around for a good book to use as a reference. However, there seem
to be so many books out there and I was hoping some of the Access gurus here
could suggest some good ones (or even the definitive one?)

I have some experience in creating and maintaining basic tables and queries
and have designed basic forms and reports.

Thanks for any input

Lawrence

Best of luck in your venture. I too was put into the position to, but I've
found this forum very very helpful.

Books - Try one of the IDG books Access Bibles for whichever version of
Access you are using.

MVP John Viescas has a couple of good books out:

- Building Microsoft Access Applications
- Microsoft Office Access 2003 Inside Out

Also, still one of my favorite references is the Access Developers Handbook
Set by Paul Litwin, Ken Getz, Mike Gunderloy. There's not a version specific
for Access 2002 but everything in the 2002 version (or 2000 version for that
matter) would still apply to Access 2003.
