I know this is a little off subject but I am looking for the best cheap
software for making screen demos. Right now I'm using GoToMeeting's
recorder but the files are huge. Googling around I see alot and they all
say they are the best.

What is your final goal? Are you sending these to people via email? Putting
on the web?

I personally like Camtasia, but the files can get rather large, esp. if you
leave them at full size. You have the option of downsizing the files,
however. It will also create Flash movie files, as well as a variety of
other formats, including WMV, which can be used in Silverlight. I like it
for help files in apps or web presentation. It is more of a motion screen
capture than anything else, but it works fine to demo products for help
files and hte like (my usage).
