Can't afford the Koolance Exos setup so I have to stay with a traditional
hsf. I'm shooting for a quiet pc and mild o/cing.

Thanks,
Rich

I don't have a 3.2ghz cpu (which might run a bit hotter), but my setup
literally doesn't make enough noise to be heard over the gentle whoosh of
the Hunter ceiling fan I have).

My system: 2.8GHz, Antec True480 power supply, Zalman CNPS7000A-CU cpu
cooler, Lian Li PC-60B case, and an older ATI Radeon 9200 which is
passively cooled (so no fan on the video card).

My old system now sounds like a jet engine next to this one :-).

I've been looking at the CNPS7000cu. Any suggestions as to a good online
vendor?

I have the CNPS7000cu on a 3Ghz P4. Runs 36 degrees C idle and about 50
degrees C under load with the adjustable fan set on its lowest RPM. I'm very
happy with it.

I don't know where you live, but http://www.overclockers.co.uk in the UK are
a good online vendor.

I also have an Antec True 330, which was very quiet when I bought it a
couple of months ago, but seems to have gotten louder. Anyone else
experienced this?

Ted.

Just remeber to check that it will fit in your case and also that the pure
copper variant is well over the top of the intel weight loading for the CPU.
The pure copper unit is only slightly more efficient than the hybrid, so if
you move the box around at all or don't need "the best" go for the ALCU.
