Hi
I have been told that it exists a pice of software that analyze a WindowsXP
isntallation and comes with suggestion for improvements.

Where can I find this pice of software?

Thank you in advance.

There are some third party options available that scan your system and then
search for upgrades. One example is called the BigFix which is free to home
users http://help.bigfix.com/ However I don't know if that is what you are
looking for.

Dag,

There may be many in addition to the ones suggested. Just be careful, backup
your data before you start, and if in doubt don't remove or turn off anthing
suggested.

There is a program that will tell you your installed hardware - all of it,
the driver levels, Microsoft Hotfixes, all installed software licenses,
including product Key when available. Belarc Advisor: http://www.belarc.com
