Best place to download emoticons?

Just wondering if anyone knows of any good sites to download emoticons?

Please note, I'm not after a few search engine results, but rather sites
that people have actually used and found to be good. That is, emoticons that
aren't buried under heaps of advertising stuff and that you
can see on the screen quite easily.

Also, have people got a list of their favourite emoticons?

Thanks heaps for the icons.

One problem I noticed when I looked at the smilies
http://www.it-mate.co.uk/icons/smiles.asp
is that if you leave it open and it keeps downloading all of the emoticons,
it ends up crashing IE6. Must be something to do with it not being able to
handle that many animated gif's or something?

So I tested the same link with mozilla firebird and it worked fine.

Rili,
Thanks for the comments. I'm currently working on re-writing the script
I've written to show them all, so it only shows a certain number of them,
then offers seperate pages for the rest (if that makes sense?)

Wouldn't care but, I've just received a collection of over 14,000 more icons
that I've still got to upload...... (33+MB)

Using MyIE2 the video becomes gray and all the icons stack in the
up-left corner and happen many errors (about Canvas resources)...'til I
close (blindly) MyIE2 (maybe a MyIE2 bug ?)

I have a feeling thats a bug in MyIE.......

That icons page's use FSO (FileSystemObject) with VBScript, to show the
icons, if the browser doesn't fully support it, there are going to be
problems.

However, if you look at the top of the menu, there is an option to go to the
page with the .zip versions of the icons (so you can download them instead
of viewing in the browser)......might be an option?

Note: Zip versions require an archive utility such as ZipCentral
(http://zipcentral.iscool.net) or equivalent, to open them

I'll have to see if I can find a way (aside from manually) to display them
that doesn't involve using the FileSystemObject (manually, and pre-developed
pages are no good as they require alot of maintanence when
adding/removing/editing existing icons/emoticons in the collection).

This is OK!

Thanks.

Another thing that would be good is if you could also categorise them by
their pixel size. For example, messenger uses 19 x 19 pixel sized emoticons,
so if you want emoticons for it, you would ideally need 19 x 19. Might be a
bit hard for you to do though.

Not so much hard..... just extremely time consuming

Steve, there is something wrong with stationary.zip.

I downloaded it 3 times, separate days, keeps coming up invalid archive.
Other files no problem.

Cheers Mike, I'll take a look at it.
