Best Option...

Whats the best option. After taking someones advice, and I hope they are
finally happy, my machine wont stay on for longer that 10 secondes before it
shuts down. Should I just reformat the HD on another machine or would
clearing the cmos work?
Good advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Miles,

You need to give more details. ie. Is there a warning message that comes up
before it shutsdown?. The more info you can provide the better. What you've
said so far could be a hundred things from software incompatibility to
hardware malfunction.

As already stated in another reply, more details are needed. Including
details about what change you made could help too.
