I am using a trial version of PowerStrip and wonder if there is something
better to OC video card ?
I am running an ATI 9600 Pro on a 3.0 Mhz Pent 4 CPU with 512 Megs of OCZ
memory, Cat 3.9. System is very stable and no problems at 450/650.
Thanks for any and all comments.

Powerstrip is not to money for OC'ing shit, for radeons any number of
utilities are more qualified... radclocker is the one I use...just do
a yahoo search for it.

Try Rage3D tweaker. Great little nifty utility!

Yes, there's Rage 3D Tweak - freeware.
Much less fiddly interface and does the same as PowerStrip.

Thanks all, will give the advised utils a try this weekend.

While on the subject, is there a free util to watch temperatures on 9200
chip? The Gigabyte utility that came with the card tends to be cumbersome
and often crashes, while the sliders to over/underclock the card just don't
work at all (maybe because I have installed the Omega drivers instead of
the buggy ones supplied on Gigabyte cd).

Plus Rage 3D Tweak goes INTO your driverpage and configuration.
Instead of being just a side tool.

So it really goes deep!

Thanks to all who took time to help.
Tried all the suggested utils and found the Rage 3D tweak to be the one I
liked best.
The others were all OK also, I guess personal preference won out. I was able
to O/C my Radeon 9600 pro to 451 mhz core, 702 mhz effective memory at a
good stable rate with no artifacts, this brought my 3Dmark 2003 from 3369 to
3731.
Not as high as others I've read about but OK in my books.
