any recent abit skt A motherboards

abit have softmenu III which lets you change the multiplier and the cpu
vcore as well as the FSB and change the voltage to the graphics and oher
things etc.

I have an NF7 v2.0
that has

nForce 2 Chipset (very good) even though nforce 4 is due out very soon
onboard sound
AGP
skt A upto 400 mhz FSB
x3 184 pin DIMMS - dual channel for upto
DDR400 PC3200 RAM

onboard LAN
ATA Interface (think it is 133, could be UDMA though either way they are
backward compatable)

can host upto 4 IDE/ATA drives
x5 PCI slots
x2 USB controllers

here is the link to the abit nf7 series boards the specs on there are
generally exactly the same on the v2.0 apart from the v2.0 supports 400 mhz
FSB and ddr400 ram

maybe there are some other differences.

here is a link to the board on ebuyer this is the v2.0

http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/prod...2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=63166

but if you want SATA go for the NF7-S v2.0

it is the same except it has Serial-ATA (SATA) if you dont know what serial
ATA is then go for the standard NF7 and dont buy any Serial-ATA (SATA)
drives just get ATA100 - ATA133 or UDMA its all comptable

can pick the NF7 v2.0 for about £40 which is about $25 - $35 good price if
you ask me and a quality board from a quality manufacturer

plus it works well with a nVidia GFX card seen as the chipset is by nVidia
and the whole board is flushed with nVidia stuff.. even the onboard LAN is
nVidia
