Best Keyboard for legally blind?

I have a friend and he presently uses a KB with very large keys, but it has
no keys for Fn or F-keys keys and no Print screen keys.

He ordered a new KB.. (in yellow) for "legally blind or severely sight
handicapped" but its keys are smaller and really not good to see.

Is there some one in the same position ( he is legally blind as as result of
moist Macula Degeneration) who has satisfactory experience?

Advanced countries usually have charities or public interest groups
for various types of handicap, e.g. the Canadian National Institute
for the Blind. Their accrued experience may help your friend.

Most "touch typist" never look at the keyboard. They know where the keys are and how to reach them.
Your friend should consider taking courses in keyboarding to become a touch typist and then any
keyboard that is comfortable will work for him.

A Google search netted this site, and I'm sure there are others:

THAT is very much out of the question with his almost total lack of sight
and being 82 years old.

THAT is the site where he ordered the Yellow KB from which is not working
out at all.

Wet macular degeneration is a distressing condition - which leads to
severe and rapid loss of vision.

I fear that although you are searching for a suitable keyboard, there
may be no real solution to your friend's problem.

Have you contacted AMD Alliance International
(http://www.amdalliance.org/) for any further suggestions?

Yes, I have been to their website. I see nothing that might help.
BUT he still wants to use the keyboard and not be totally shut out from his
friends in many parts of the US and even the world.
He was until recently (1 year or so ago) a Treasurer of a company that had
facilities in China, Hong Kong, Germany, India and the US. So he had and has
many contacts and friends gained over 40 years.

I hope it works! My public library branch has one of those large-key
yellow keyboards but the librarians say it is not used much by visually
handicapped people.
