I want to save my digital Movie Maker 2 movies in the best format for
burning to DVD so I don't have a loss in music quality and keep nice video
quality.

Is the default "Best quality for playback on my computer" really the best
one for DVD burning? There are a bunch of other choices. I suspect one of
the others will be better suited for burning to DVDs.

Feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

I just burned by first DVD (using My DVD Deluxe). I also purchased a wonderful book that guided me through th
process called "Windows Movie Maker 2 Zero to Hero" (through Amazon)
To answer your question I will quote a bit from this book
"Movie Maker can generate two types of files: WMV, which can be played on computers and "AVI (Audio Visual Interleaved
which is a uncompressed video file format that produces large but best-quality films". "If you want o make a VCD or DVD with your movie, you will have to open it with another software package - so save it as an AVI". Your computer will hav
either DV-AVI (Pal) or DV-AVI (NTSC).
Then you need to Save your movie to your computer as an AVI file (which again will be DV-AVI (PAL) or DV-AVI (NTSC) depending on your TV standards. ...
Once your movie is saved as AVI ... it is really easy to import it into "My DVD" to produce your DVD !!
Mine turned out and is really COOL !!
I would strongly recommend the above book ... it is wonderful at describing steps like this with pictures and lots o
detail !! Hope this helps ... deb k ontario
