Ok, to say the mass of different vista editions is confusing is an
understatement.
I'm looking for a version of Vista that has remote desktop, am I stuck with
having to buy ultimate?
I'm simply not interested in IIS (apache + php on linux vm, running under
vmware for that, although for work I would want IIS for dev purposes), "dvd
ripping" (i've got dvd decrypter, virtualdub and the divx codec for that),
winsat, media center stuff (got an xbox with XBMC on for that).
I really don't want to fork out what I consider an extortionate amount of
money (£325) for a load of stuff i'm not even going to use.
Will it be possible to buy the business edition or is that strictly limited
to business only?
I happily run XP Pro on my home machine as well as my work machine, remote
desktop is an absolute must especially when I want to connect to either
machines when i'm away from them. (and no, remote assistance isn't what I
want)
