I was wondering, what is the best way to go about testing a newly
built computer. I want to ideally have a burn-in suite that can also
provide diagnostics. Something like SiSoft Sandra is ideal. However,
is it possible to create an automated package on say a bootable CD-ROM
to do this? Or what are good DOS-based software like this that could
do the same thing? Something like memtest86 is a great program I love,
but its very limited that it only tests the memory... I want
something that will stress a complete system, hard drives, memory,
cpu, graphics, everything. A commercial package could be acceptable
too , although lower cost is always better. Any recommendations?
Is it possible to find a LINUX bootable package that could do this? I
know there's that KNOPPIX which is a complete linux package bootable
off CD-ROM which is kind of cool. However I don't think Microsoft will
be as friendly allowing such things to be created..
Thanks,
Anthony
