Hi All

I'm not interested in copyright DVD ripping, just so you know my intentions
are honest !

What it is, we have a DVD camcorder and Canon have advised me that the only
way I can get the DVD content into a format to edit it in say MovieMaker is
to use a DVD ripping package to get the data off the mini DVD.

I've tried #1 DVD Ripper, but it took 5 hours to get 1 hour of DVD content
into a WMV file!!

Anybody know of a good package to do this?

Thanks

BTW, any ripping software is entirely dependent on processing power of the
computer to get decent speed. A 1.5 hour DVD on my 2.4 GHZ, 1 GB RAM,
plenty of HDD space takes about 3 hours to rip.

To fix my problem with speed, I purchased a device ADS tech's DVDXpressDX2
from my local Sam's club and use it to copy "ANY" video, either DVD or VHS
or anything that can be put into Stereo RCA sound jacks and a RCA video in
or S-Video in signal minute by minute. Plug into the USB 2.0 port on my
computer and away I go with the capture software that ADS supplies with the
device. They even include a version of Uleads Video Studio 9 SE which
allows me to trim movies easily.
