I am using FP 2002 on an XP machine. I have built, published and maintain a
few simple sites, but am still a newbie.

I would like club members to be able to submit items for sale at no or
little charge, as an association service. I would also like to present the
option of attaching a photo to their data for a nominal fee.

I generally understand the concept of databases and have Access 2003 in an
MS Office suite. I imagine I would create a form to have users submit data
and pictures. Is this the best direction to take? Can I have them pay
$/picture by credit card using the form?

I'm not looking for specific instructions, just a direction, so I don't
waste a lot of time on an unproductive tangent. Any advice is gratefully
accepted.

Well here are some thoughts for part of this. For easily accepting payments you
could use PayPal -- for a small club you may not want to get into credit card
processing yourself. Let Paypal handle that part.

A simple way to collect the fee is to require someone to prepay by clicking on
the Paypal link on your site which takes them to the Paypal page you have set up
where they can make their payment. Upon completion of their payment, you could
have them directed back to the page on your site where they then can actually
input their data. Paypal shows you how to set up the links to paypal and the
page you want them redirected to upon successful payment.

The form you have them fill out for the item they are advertising can be saved
in a database, and you can set up search / queries of the database using the
database results wizard to show items that are being advertised.

As for the pictures, that is more complicated and someone other than me will
probably best know how to do it. Personally, I dont know how to do it without
going through the process of importing the images into the images folder of the
Frontpage Web, after which I would create links to them from the database which
is also in the web. But that requires intervention -- it is not an automatic
thing which I presume is what you are seeking.

Perhaps someone else will weigh in with suggestions
