Best diff method for configs?

I have been able to diff two .slx files after exporting to XML. This
is not a terrible process, but I'm wondering if there's a better way.
What do you use?

Would xpecmd give me some options in this regard? I'll admit to not
fully digging in with this tool yet, so if anyone could share an
example I would appreciate it.
