Best connectors for DVD and CD burners?

Joe

I'll be getting a new motherboard that has a PCI EIDE connector and a
PC IDE connector (ASUS P5LD2).

I'd like to connect a DVD burner to one as the master drive and a CD
burner to the other also as a master.

Which would be better for each?

Thanks.

No it doesnt. Asus lists it as

Intel ICH7R Southbridge:
- 1 x UltraDMA 100/66/33
- 4 x Serial ATA (3Gb/s)
- RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5, RAID 10 and Intel Matrix Storage technology.
ITE 8211F controller:
- 2 x UltraDMA 133 support four hard drives

Put them both on the
- 1 x UltraDMA 100/66/33
no need to have them both as master.
If you insist on having them both as
master, put one of them on one of the
- 2 x UltraDMA 133 support four hard drives

Thanks, Rod. Am I correct in guessing that it doesn't matter where they
go because their speed
is lower than the ultraDMA?
