I need to purchase a new MFC - colour print, fax, flatbed scanner, copy with
sheet feeder. Any suggestions on the best one? I'll consider anything
except Brother!

Regards

Kathryn

If you're printing photos, something inkjet, if you're printing long
documents, then think laser. I have many clients happy with Canon MFCs.

As noted in another response, I have the HP 2840 AIO. Works well and
HP has excellent support reputation. This is also a network printer
for those that aren't directly connected at all times.

Had the Brother MFC-9420CN but had issues and company would not provide
support (only two months into their one-year warranty). Also very
loud.

I don't print photos at home, too cheap to do elsewhere.

"Best" depends on how much printing you will do of text and photos, but
for starters you might take a look at the HP Officejet 7410 - it does
what you ask, plus it prints double sided (and copies double sided
automatically, has network capability (both wired and wireless),
multiple paper trays, card slots for printing directly from memory
cards, legal size scanning/printing and some other features I probably
have forgotten. See:

The Officejet 7310 is similar, but does not have the dual paper trays
standard. See
