Best card for $100

[BF]

My son does some gaming on my computer. I do a lot
with PhotoShop. What is the best ATI card for
about $100 that would be a good all around card?

AMD 2100+ overclocked to about a 2500+
512 meg memory

The Friday after Thanksgiving, Best Buy sold a ton of ATI Radeon 9600
boards for $75 each after rebate (they had about 50 to 100 per store,
they sold tens of thousands of those cards).

Now there are hundreds of those on E-Bay, still shrink wrapped with the
UPC code removed. They are going for about $90 - $100 plus $10 to $20
shipping. That may be the best deal you can get right now, but in
another week or so it will be over.

Best Buy also has the 9600SE on sale this week as well, for $99 or $109,
but from what I understand it's not as good a card.

Newegg.com has 9600 SE for $97 but you would much better off with non-SE or
better yet a 9600 Pro. http://www.pricewatch.com/ is a good place to find

FWIW, on many items of late I've been finding better prices via
<http://www.froogle.com> than via pricewatch.

I took a look at froogle and was not impressed with their videocard prices
or the format of the site. it takes alot more time to navigate.

ATI 9100 (direct X 8.1) for price starting at $75
ATI 9600SE (direct X 9.0) for the price starting at $85
ATI 9600 (direct X 9.0) for better performance over the SE

Currently use a Sapphire ATI 9100 128MB
hopefully getting a 9600 Pro for Christmas
