Since i installed vista on my system today ( i am running dual boot with xp) i remembered that i only have a 512 mb cheepo stick of ram in my system. And it is running pretty slow with only the 512 and mem usage is going up to 99% at times (which really slows the system down) so i wanted to upgrade my ram. So i would like to get 1-2gb but i do not want to break the bank. But i do want to get good enough ram so it wont bottleneck the rest of my system. After the ram i will get a new gpu so then i will finally have a complete system.

thanks in advance,

i'd go for some corsair value or you could get some geil or OCUK value

Will i see much difference between the lot?? but isnt it corsair that offer the lifetime warranty??

Yes m8 I thnk they do. But other major manufacturers do nowa days too

OCZ and Geil are others

For value RAM use Corsair Value Select or Crucial basic.

Anything else with a name will be more expensive.

Anything else without a name is possibly rubbish.

I would go for Crucial

honestly

with regards to price im not sure if they are expensive or cheap
but definetly worth the money and a great service too

I have used all main producers of RAM, now I have one PC 3 years old with 2X512 PC 2700 Ummmm...... Ebuyer value RAM and not a single problem:eek:
It is my main Cruncher:nod:

I am waiting.....?

Another vote from crucial here - never had a single problem with them (hardware or service as a whole). I just can't stop raving about how much I like them :D

ok thanks for all the help i will check out the prices later tonight and update everyone on my choice

Crucial from me too. Good service and excellent memory. Plus that tool that tells you what memory you need is so handy!! :-)

value ram is one in the same

personally i always go for crucial, but you cannot really go wrong if you go for a major brand
