Which affects frame rate more when overclocking vid card? Core or Mem

It depends on the card. AFAIK the ram usally gets you better fps in
comparing the same OC with the core. In my experence with my 9800Pro uping
the ram gives me a better OC. I can get the ram higher if I keep the core
lower. If I increase the core I have to decrease the ram.
All in all I gave up worrying about OC'ing my card. It's so fast that it
really doesn't matter if I gain a couple of fps.And a couple of fps is all I
can get out of my card. I always OC'ed every card I've ever owned, even my
two good old 8meg Voodoo 2 cards. But I've always bought mid range card and
I always felt I needed to get them up to the next level of performance. But
since the 9800Pro is damn near the fastest card out there it's moot now. And
I'm not complaining! JLC

True, expect in some games when AA and AF are switched on. I have a feeling
Doom 3 will benefit from OCing when it's released especially when all the
eye candy is turned on.
