most auspicious ?

Will "optimum" suffice for you guys? :-)

I want to make sure that I have the thing set up to get the best
performance.

run it at 1.45 volts, 320 fsb x11 1760 Mhz 1.76 GHz, cl2.5
Thinking of all the extra heat to get to 2 Ghz

Not wishing to be funny, but no, it won't! Its a bit of a 'how long is a
piece of string' question

If you set the BIOS to 'load optimum settings' or whatever and just use
the defaults, you're probably so close anyway that most normal people
won't notice the difference with anything else you'd do ;-)

Best?? Do you mean 'maximum' ??? see what I mean?

Unless something goes wrong with the default settings (and this board is
usually pretty ok from the word go), the 'best performance' issue
usually boils down to standard overclocking issues.

But then you're not even telling us if the Barton is unlocked..........
or whether your PC2700 can actually do PC3200 ........
