Best backup software for DVD-RW drives, on Win2k?

I just found out that my long time reliable backup software, Seagate (now
Veritas) backup exec 4.5, can't interface with my DVD-RW burner. Has
anybody had a really positive experience with any backup software running on
Win2k (sp4)? I'm using an I/O Magic DVD-RW drive. The Roxio software works
great, but isn't a full-fledged backup software package like Backup Exec
is/was. I especially need to do solid differential backups and restores.

thx

I use NTI backup Now delux on my W2K and XP machines. Works like a champ
with CD-RW and you can restore individual files if needed.

There web site says it does and they have a list of compatible cd/dvd
recorders. I can't say for sure because I don't have a dvd recorder to
back-up to. But you can download a trial version of Backup Now Delux from
their web site.

Try Symantec Ghost.exe with the latest Live Updates. Works fine across
a lot of computers to standard Firewire and USB DVD burners.

I just changed from using Ghost to "Drive Image" from Powerquest. I couldn't
find a way to schedule a Ghost backup and DI does this with ease.

Veritas went to Stomp. I find Stomp's Backup My PC to be
essentially indistinguishable from the Veritas. I've been
very happy with it.

Carl,

I need to know if it works with DVD-RW, not CD-RW, thanks.
Backup My PC definitely works with my Plextor 708UF on
DVDRs and DVDRWs. Of course, they have a list on their
site of all the burners they support.

I am using LG DVD -/+ R drive and the software i am using is Roxio Easy cd &
DVD creator, which works perfect.
