Some experienced folks here have said they use Acronis True Image backup
software.

I'm experimenting with the trial version and like it.

Does anyone else have any comments on Acronis True Image or other superior
backup programs?

Hi DSH:

I believe you know how much I appreciate TI 10 Home.

I also use a second backup program: Backup4all. (It has a web site by
the same name.) In addition to it's very many features, which you can
read about on the web site, Backup4all stores backups in standard .zip
files, which you can open with any program that supports that ubiquitous
format. The program is well designed (IMHO), very reliable and comes
with great support.

Here's how I combine these two backup solutions: I use True Image to
make images of my system partition as well as my entire hard disk. I use
Backup4all to backup My Documents (which includes My Music, My
Pictures and My Videos). True Image has other features that I've yet to
try, e.g., backing up program settings.

In any case, TI and B4a are a great combination. Together with secure
backup storage practices, I have the security of knowing that nothing
short of a direct lightning strike or a thermonuclear device will cause
me to lose my system or my data.
