It looks like two of the most popular spyware removal products are
"Ad-aware" and "Spybot Search and Destroy". Anyone have good/bad
experiences with these, on WinXP PC?

Also, are there any major suppliers like McAfee that have "for purchase"
products? Wouldn't tried-and-true software firms that sell software (not
share/free-ware) offer more confidence for reliabilty than downloading and
unknown product and exe file? Thanks.

They both are great. works well in tandem in XP.

the best anti-spyware is never go on the internet. ;-)

hundreds of websites track you all the time (some without cookies). take
yahoo for instance. check their code. any link that goes to
rd.yahoo.com, they track you as soon as you click that link.
