Best Android E-Mail Client for Unified Inbox?

I'm currently using the stock "mail" app that came with my Sony Z2, I'm not sure if it's from Google or Sony - but either way it is very unreliable and often needs restarting if I want to check my e-mails. I think part of the problem is that it checks several accounts and unifies the inbox (which is a requirement for me), however it can't seem to handle the number of e-mails. I've since reduced the limit, but it hasn't yet cleared out the ones over the limit - which is useless.

Can anyone recommend an e-mail app with a unified inbox for multiple accounts? I like the official Google one, but it can't do the unified inbox which is a deal breaker for me.

I thought the Gmail app did that, Thought they updated it recently to do just that?

No luck with a unified Inbox with "Google Inbox", first one I tried and they're all separate. There was an AMA with the devs on Reddit and they are looking to add it though.
